My condolences to John's family. We grew up together on Minooka Street but lost touch after high school. Rest in peace, John.

Roxanne
I was so sorry to see this post. I was in study hall when John was the cute guy sitting behind us and the romance started. I hope the many happy memories of your years together helped you through the battle with cancer. It obviously was a marriage that was meant to be. You have my deepest sympathy.

Roxanne, my heartfelt condolences to you and the family on your loss. This is a real shock to me, I never expected to lose a cousin so young. When we all lived on Carnival Way in Allentown, John and I were inseperable. Unfortunately, we lost touch over the years. I won't be able to be at the visitation, since I now live in Fla. and can't make the trip right now.

Dear Friend
Spending time with you the past several weeks was God's way of answering my prayers. Every morning and evening since the end of April I've been praying God would be kind to you and either grant you a healing or at least not let you suffer like I watched my father and cousin who died from cancer. God was also gracious in letting you and I catch up on the years since we were kids. Oh how wonderful it was talking about the things we did like making stilts, fishing in the Ohio river and just being kids playing on the street. Although we went our separate ways from our teen years I will miss you because we were so much alike; always putting others before ourselves and doing what was right. This morning I went to mass and asked God one final favor: I asked that he take you into Heaven this way when my mission is complete I will meet you again and we will both have perfect bodies with no pain. Thank You God for my having John in my life; he was a good person.

Roxann, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Dark days are on the horizon but the sun will shine at the other end. Keep up the strength and you will prevail. I know what you are going through. John was a great man and he will be missed by many. Again, my deepest sympathy. Don Brown.
