Leona R. (Feldmeier) Diesing

Leona (Feldmeier) Diesing, age 96 of Overbrook died peacefully in her sleep at
home April 6, 2017.
Lee was one of 7 children born to the late Joseph and Bertha Feldmeier. She
married the love of her life Walter, a former Navy Seabee, during World War II.
They were married for 58 years until Walter’s death in 2000.
Lee and Walt raised 3 boys: David, Gary and Kenny. After Kenny’s accident in
1973, which left him disabled and with a traumatic brain injury, Lee dedicated her
life to Kenny’s care, doing it by herself after Walter’s passing.
Leona worked at Browns/CC&K Book Bindery for 58 years and was a dedicated
parishioner of St. Norbert’s Parish for over 60 years.
Leona is survived by her 3 loving sons and their families:
David (Elaine) of Florida and their children: Kris (Erin), Dan (Nicole) and Melissa.
Grandchildren: Lauryn, Tanner, Keeghan, Cylis and Azi. Great Grandchild:
Brentley.
Gary (Mary) and daughter: Lia (Sean). Grandchildren: Layne and Lukas
After an accident that prohibited Leona from taking care of Kenny, he is residing in
an assisted living facility.
Leona will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but will find peace reunited
with Walter in heaven. We love you, Mom.
Friends will be receive on Monday April, 10, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at the Holy Apostles Parish St. Norbert Church at 10:30 AM.
