Ellsworth J. Whipper (95) formerly of Knoxville, Pa passed on January 28, 2021. Since 2019 he lived in Scranton, Pa, to be close to family. He was born in Castle Shannon on December 13, 1925 to Ellsworth Otto Whipper and Helen Doersch of Grove City. He joined the Navy in 1944, then worked at J/L Steel for 41 years. He was married to Mildred McIntyre for 58 years. He is survived by his daughters Marlene and Thomas Hill (Sewickley) and Beverly and Howard Hill (Scranton), granddaughter Melanie and Anthony DePietro (Scranton) and great grand twins Anthony and Avalina, Step-grandson, Christopher and Livia Hill (Australia), Step-granddaughter, Kathrine and Derek Rehder (San Diego), step great granddaughters, Natalie, Aubrey, Julia and Megan Rehder and Annabelle Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (2009), sisters Belle Mae Tobin, Lois Cavalovitch and brother Darwin.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service.
