Mathew Dawida, age 94, peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday August 28, 2021 of Carrick.

Beloved husband of 72 years to Edna (Robert) Dawida.

Loving father of Michael (Audrey) Dawida, Sandy (the late Davie) Bressler, Shelly (Dave) Papp, Mark ( Sue) Dawida and Maria (Richard) King.

Cherished grandfather of Sara (Jeff) Novelly, Peter Dawida, Mariana (David Heinitz) Dawida, Jenn (Dan)Guatell, John (Nora) Papp, Rich (Amy) Papp, Mike (Melanie) Papp, Jason (Dianna) Dawida, Josh Dawida, Katie (Devyn) Reddy, William (Nicole) King and Matti King.

Nine great grandchildren and close family friend Doll Gillespie.

Son of the late Joseph and Mary Dawida.

Brother of Catherine ( the late Jim) Walsh, Rosemary ( the late Emile) Robert and the late Walter Dawida, John Dawida, Josephine ( the late  Nick) Stipanovich, Joe ( the late Rita) Dawida, Michael Dawida, Ann ( the late Bob) Dzvonick and Helen ( the late Ed) Fiore.

Mat was a WW II Navy Veteran  aboard the USS Donner, worked and retired from the Westinghouse Astronuclear Program.a. He was a long time Democratic Committeman and was absolutely devoted to his family.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc.

Everyone is welcome to the Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:30AM, Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Wendelin Church 2728  Custer Ave.
Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be to a charity of ones choice in Mat’s name.
